I am reminded of a similar scene from an ancient native culture here where the bodies of those gone on were placed in pots such as this. On the anniversary of the death, there was a ceremony of all the people and the pot would be carried to the pit where it was cast into the deep hole and broken. :-) This is a beautiful shot and the colors and shapes really hold my eye. Strong postwork.

There are really lovely colors and textures in this one. I like the contrast between the pots and the foliage in the background.

Oh! I just saw a show on the Travel Channel and they mentioned kimchi...and the cabbage mixture, they said, can remain in these pots for something like three years. Yikes!! I have never tried it, because it is VERY hot...but I have friends who love it!
