Description
Male: Kist, High Elf Bard
Female: Siela, High Elf Blood Mage
It was a High Elf society requirement, anyone who was someone would be there, and that alone was enough to keep her on another continent for two days on either side of that night. But he didn't want to go alone, or take some socialite with designs on increasing their status by being seen with him. So he spent a week at the Guild Hall every night pestering her (which got weapons thrown at him), flattering her (which got her symbiote components thrown at him) and a straight day following behind her with a lute making up (often lewd) songs about why she should go with him (which almost got his lute strings cut) before she finally relented and agreed to go. He promised it'd not be nearly as bad as she thought it was going to be, even if it meant he had to confiscate the musician's instruments and cause trouble to make sure of it. It'd not be the worst thing they'd done together.
And so here he was, in the sitting room of her tower, dressed to the nines, waiting for her. Occasionally frowning at the amulet that would recall them to the Palace in Leth Nurae, hoping she wasn't delaying as long as possible to get out of going. Even though they were both Guild Leaders now, he still knew who was really in charge when she was around... and so even though he was tempted to march upstairs to her bedroom and drag her to Leth, he waited downstairs, pacing across the sitting room and frowning.
The soft rustle of skirts and the quiet thud of feet on stairs snapped his attention to the room next to the sitting room, where the stairs to her bedroom were, his eyes drawn to the shimmer of gold making it's way down the stairs. He blinked as the light from the chandelier caught the metallic gold skirts and bodice of her dress, and pretended to be straightening his jcket and vest to hide the surprise on his face. Since when did she own a dress like that?
He looked up to see her standing in front of him, red hair half pulled back, the other half spilling over her bare shoulders, small earrings hanging from her ears, arms crossed and a defiant glare being directed up at him.
"If you say one damn thing about this dress or make some comment about me actually being a female..." she started.
Not quite trusting himself to words, he swept his arms wide into his most formal, dramatic, showy bow, and waited until he stopped grinning before he straightened back up.
"Bards." she responded, rolling her eyes and trying to hide a grin. He grinned back, and extended an arm in her direction, pulling out the amulet that would take them to the place they both once called home. She reached out, placing her hand lightly on his arm and put on her most regal look, back straight, held held high. It took almost everything he had not to laugh as he softly rubbed the amulet, and the magic pulled them to Leth Nurae.
(The rest of this story is over on Deviant Art. I ran out of characters here. Doh! I'm oriridraco over there. )

Rendered in Daz Studio 3 around 6 times.
Multiple composites of various renders with different light sets put together in Photoshop CS4.
It still feels as if something is missing, and her face bugs me a bit, but there is a point when enough is enough, and three weeks on one image is ENOUGH! ;)
