Description

Glacial ice spire near the face of the Herbert glacier in SE Alaska. Under the tremendous pressures within a glacier, the ice becomes like a quartz. Once the ice flows down and gets to the edges of these rivers of ice, it is like shards of broken quartz, in blue.
