Description

Went out shooting today...... didn't see much so I took advantage of whatever I could find..... such as this lowly grasshopper. Hope you enjoy.

Marvellous details. I've never noticed the backedges of the hind legs before.

Grasshopper eyes always fascinate me, but I KNOW this is a different breed than the ones I'm familiar with because the diffraction pattern in his eyes is different, and his legs are different as well...I love his black stockings! This is a stunningly good shot, especially since grasshoppers don't really like to sit still very long. I've captured a few myself, but I'm more apt to capture a grasshopper shaped blur! Great work!
