I still dont have a bird book but I am working on it, I do enjoy taking there pictures :) I had an awesome Thanksgiving with my family and I sure hope yall did to :) Update: Thanks to sschweiger for letting us know that this is a Cedar Waxwing :)

Gorgeous bird and a very excellent shot. He fits so nicely into the where his belly matches the leaf color. He is so well camouflaged I'm surprised you were able to see him. Good work. Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving.

Fantastic shot! His markings make him look angry. I like the setting with theberries in the foreground. The leaf doesn't bother me so much. It just adds to the feeling that he doesn't want to be seen. First rate work.

What a sharp looking bird! Are those berries intoxicating to the birds? Make sure they remember the pilot's rule, 12 hours bottle to throttle!

They are the prettiest birds, aren't they? They arrive down here late winter to clean up all the berries off the shrubs and trees before heading back North. You are getting very good with your new lens, unfortunately, sometimes those pesky leaves will ruin an excellent shot.
