Just thought I'd upload something a little different today... Another one of my 'creative outlets' is designing and building interesting lamps. I frequently stop by the local recycling center, garage sales, antique stores, flea markets and so on for ideas and materials. The lady at the recycling center has become my freind :-) and saves all kinds of stuff for me. I'm sure she thinks I'm nuts (and she may be right..), but she does come up with some cool stuff. Anyway, I made this little lamp from a blue bottle from the recycling center. I made the base from wood, stained and hand-rubbed. The blue shade was from a bargain table at Lowe's. I installed a bracket inside the bottle to hold a small LED lamp, so it lights up blue. My wife fell in love with it when I brought it up from the basement, so it now has a home on the end table :-) Thanks for taking a look, and for everyone's comments on previous work! It really means a lot!
