My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Oh my goodness, what a coincidence!! We both posted a foto of Mark at the exact same moment--you'd think we planned it!!
Faemike55
Wonderful shot of Mark! It looks like he was enjoying himself immensely!

Awesome shot, very clear and the B&W makes it perfect!

Oh, hey, I know this gentleman! This is a great capture of him...he smiles exactly like that, only in color! That's one of the many things I remember about all of us getting together. So many smiles, and giggles, and yeah, those looks of amazement when the crazy photographers were doing crazy photographer things. I like this image a lot, especially in black and white (though I see vague hints of blue like highlights, and those work perfectly!) I love this! Too bad I was working, I missed out on a lot, especially since I wasn't even supposed to be working...UGH! Oh well...at least there will be future visits. I think the Midwesterners need to come out west now!

He has so much expression! Very nice capture!

OH WOW! I see our dear friend with a lovely smile on his face. It is such a beautiful portrait in Black/white. I love it.

I've seen Mark twice today and that's cool! That smile is the same. He is always so warm and you captured that perfectly. That was such a good period of time, and everything that went on is in this picture. I can even hear Dave and Cheri joking about something, while bomber geese fly overhead. Great shot!

Great timing between you and Marilyn! I love this portrait! :)

I know that face! This is a great portrait of Mark, it captures so much of his personality and warmth. His face is so expressive, a man who I've learned has a heart almost as big as he is! I so wish we had been able to get there sooner than Saturday, but it just wasn't meant to be, Friday night for us was spent saying good bye to a lot of old and good friends. Saturday for me had turned out to be the perfect remedy though, and instead of goodbye hugs, we got hello and welcome ones. I really prefer the later type.

his smile is charming!!!!

This is exactly the perfect capture of him. It shows who Mark is so well. You can read it all in his face.

Hey great shot. I like your's and Marilyn's and really don't know which I like best. I'll say I like them both!
anahata.c
thank you so much tara, it's just beautiful---not because it's me, but because of what you gave to me. Marilyn's caught me happy & almost 'shy' (as Andrea suggested), with a little bit of mystery & mood I can't even describe; and you show me so happy inside, no doubt to be with the two of you, two people I really love: I'm so happy I could show that, I really am. Because it's just what I felt (as I felt with Chip & Corey and Cheri & Dave & Juanita---lotta basking in wonderful souls that weekend). You really captured how I felt that weekend, and you do it with such gentleness & ease...Your crop is wonderful, framing me like you're really looking into a private moment, and the lights are beautiful too---but that's 'Tara', that's how you shoot. You've blanketed me in your sight & don't know how great that feels. And while it was near the Bean (where I took shots without pressing the button, signs of a photographer to come, lol), it could've been anywhere that weekend, because you caught just how I felt when I was with all of you. Like I said to Marilyn, it's so wonderful to be seen through your wonderfully gifted eyes; I'm very grateful. Thank you, Tara. This is a wonderful, moving gift. (ps--and as I said in Marilyn's gallery, thanks to all the comments that were so kind to me: I don't deserve them and I'm really flattered!)

Wow, first a capture of Mark, via Marilyn, and now another fine portrait, employing another POV, of your host, both in the same day. Terrific clarity and upcloseness in this foto, Tara.
