November 14th 1910, Eugene Burton Ely is flying his Curtiss Pusher D off the bow of CS-2 USS Birmingham near the Norfolk Navy Yard. Glad they picked up a surplus German ship; a lot of them were scuttled right after the war... Great pic, and great history.

This is a nice image...but I think you could have something really nice here if you continue working on the lighting and atmospherics. I often leave my compositions for a while and come back with new eyes... This could be a great scene, and you have the ability to make it so!! hope you will... I'll be watching

great render. Deck is angled down probably to gain speed. A lot of early ship born aircraft were expendable. Once they were launched they could not be recovered and ditched next to the ship after their mission.
