Description
I took this in Sherman Texas and is in Grayson County seventy-five miles north of Dallas on U.S. Highway 75. The city is also intersected by U.S. Highway 82, State highways 11 and 56, and the tracks of the Missouri, Kansas and Texas, Southern Pacific, and Burlington Northern rail lines. this is the old Smith Mill.outlaw bands led by Jesse James and William C. Quantrill appeared in Sherman during and after the war.the town has had extreme problems through it's history including massive fires, tornadoes, and a race riot. The number of farms increased 460 percent between 1870 and 1880, and since the railroads provided transport for produce, Grayson County soon became a milling and market center for surrounding areas. In 1876 Sherman had five flour mills and the largest grain elevator north of Dallas. By 1891 it had erected the largest cottonseed oil mill in the world at that time, but the city is still surviving

This is great and loved to read the history, only comment or advice I would give here is I would have tried to get the full name of the mill in the frame. Or is that a trick to keep us wanting to see more. :)
