Unsolicited attention can be utterly mortifying regardless of who sees or doesn't. In the twentieth and twenty-first centuries and back through history, women have had more than their share of this sort of embarrassment.
In a dystopian future, things could be a bit different. The shoe might very well be on the other foot.
