Description
hello..:), sharing my recently painted piece "Lighting-up time". one of my earlier paintings and a skyscraper's (daytime) image inspired me to paint this. a ref. was consulted for the initial sketch, later, i planned the final composition and the mood by myself.
goal was to have a night view of a busy, modern city, glittering with all sorts of lights and reflections and also liked to have the kind of sky to add a hint of drama.

i love the contrast of the shining city and streets and the dark boulder in front of the viewer. it's like a modern version of the hero's approach scene in fantasy illustrations. i love what you did with the reflection of the skyscrapers in the water, and the lens-like blurring of the lights on the plain.
