Description
That Summer
Picking melons in the suffocating heat of a desert summer
Iced water cooling our throats.
Catching pigeon with a catapult and plucking and cooking over a crackling fire.
Cockroaches, lots, and lots of kisses too.
5am starts jumping on the back of the trailer
Afternoon sleepy sex and sticky rice.
A present of roasted black insects on a silver dish and drifting in a salty sea.
I will never forget that summer, and you, and me.
