My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

That one looks like it is a double flower! Rather neat looking one at that! Great shot! Nice colours

Very nice indeed. Now, I can dream tonight in technicolor. That reminds me of Panavision. Guess that means my dreams will be in wide screen too. Off I go...it's too late:)

WOW. This is intense, and there is a particular morphological anomaly here as well...a siamese African daisy? I didn't even know that dasies came in African varieties, but hey, Impatiens is as far as my flower knowledge goes...well...okay, impatiens, begonias, roses, violets, dandelions, hostas, and those funny looking things that resemble trumpets with their tongues sticking out. But that's it! Honestly! I love the colors in this and the light is superb. Chicago has entered it's cloudy phase and even though we've had sunlight here, I seem to have missed it. This is a wonderful reminder that there is actually a great big light up on top of all of those clouds we've been having. This is a fantastic shot, and I love the details too...you can see the flower genitals clearly, which--of course--would make me blush if I were a flower.

Oh, so that's what they are. I have some shots of them in my files. Scintillating capture of the African beauties contrasted against the dark background.

Wonderful capture! I like the way some of the centers are dusty blue. The light and shadow of the leaves adds tremendous interest and makes a perfect setting for the flowers. Beautiful!
