Description

For the final project in my Texture & Mapping class at Eastern Michigan University (EMU), I chose to work on a model of a 1966 Mustang GT. While the model's quality isn't the best (I didn't model it, but I've spent countless hours UV Mapping it, and putting up with Max eating my UV's, several video driver crashes that destroyed my work, or screwed up my file, forcing me to revert to a back up.), I like how it looks. I have the hood done, as is evident by this image. I am going for a Punisher On Fire kind of look, with the Punisher Skull (and other skulls) and realistic Flames being the prevailing part of the texture. I'm uploading this to see what the community thinks, if they have any ideas, or links to resources (skull brushes, a good vector of the punisher skull, etc). But mostly I want feedback on this. This image was rendered at 1080p (1920x1080), with Mental Ray materials on the paint (aslo applied to the hood), chrome, wheels, and grills. Render time was 5 minutes (average), on an Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 (2.83ghz stock, 3.2ghz oc'd on air cooling), 8gb DDR 16000 (1333mhz), EVGA Nvidia nForce 790i Ultra main board, 2x nVidia GeForce 260 GTX's (896mb Ram each). Thank you in advance for all your tips, ideas, and criticisms.
