Description

Sometime back Mike you told me these pinups remined you of a Normen Rockwell for adults LOL Me and Cjoe had a laugh about that... but you know that was one of the best complements I ever had... to be placed with Rockwell was very cool I always loved his work. Anyway that Idea of putting more Rockwell within the Pinup fascinated me and I had to try it. To capture his work the viewer must be taken back to a much nicer time and place in our history...lets say late 1940's This was a laid back time for America..war was over and no one was in a hurry. it is here that Rockwell Fueled his Ideas and showed us things like old General stores...pot belly stoves.. country doctors and the innosence of life. In this Render an old RailRoad depot stands like a monument to the Good Old Days and if you really concentrate you can almost hear that far sound of a train whistle that Passed and faded off into time. Hope I was able to capture the Rockwell look for you Mike in any case it was alot of fun doing this one. Sorry if this looks a little out of focus my original was Destroyed but I had a print of it Enjoy Other credit V4 Daz country dress....Digital Creation freestuff ground....Daz Barn freestuff Train Tracks Daz freestuff 1936 AM Sadan...Donal Sielke... Daz Baudoir Secrets...Ravenhair..Daz

Your detailing here is great. It's too bad you lost the original!

I think Mike's original assesment gave as succint a summary of your style as could ever be written. this image sure does capture the mood of an era. Young women being laid off of factory jobs now that the men were back and now having to move on hoping for better times. But now with the taste of independence that came from having worked at a paying job. They would never look back.

Oh, as much as I love Norman Rockwell's art, yours have a similar touch but of your own flavor and style. I can't wait to see what you're going to make next. :-D
