Description

Here's my lastest entry into the airbrush T Shirt arena. Amazingly it only took me a couple of hours instead of days, lol. Halfway through this piece I wanted to quit...I think I was highly dissatified with how the mouth was coming out, and in fact how it did come out. It's dislocated to the left a tad too much, lol. I could have probably worked on the skin texture a bit more, or at least done something else to it, but I really wanted to finish it as I've got someone in the military overseas waiting for it.

This is really good... free hand is basically all I do unless I do signs, then I take the time to cut stencils. I read you're not happy with the lips - I wouldn't of even mentioned it, it did not stand out to me. The dark horrizontal line under the lip in the beard stood out and the left eyebrow at the edge of the nose - those two items stood out.... I thought your eyes sold this... the eyes are always what matter, you can have everything else right and if you're not happy with your eyes, you're screwed - lol.... Your eyes look great. I'd suggest lightly blowing your edges of the image on first and then build your colors in... I'm sure you know this, but you'd be suprised how many artists don't, If you are right handed, work from your left to right. always do you work on the left so when you go to the right you can match it up - I don't know if that might have been a problem with the lips scenereo, but it doesn't hurt to mention it. I've done lots of shirts 20+ years ago and had done it for a couple years before I found out that there is a chemical in tshirt called sizing - you should ALWAYS wash your tshirts first it helps the ink stay in longer.... the sizing can cause problems if you paint it without washing it first. Overall, I'd give your design an 8 out of 10 - a ten being perfect... I feel the image would of looked better if it was smaller inside the frame of the shirt - the green and blue areas on the shirt kinda take away from your image too. I can see you like faces as your subject of art - me too. I really didn't know I couldn't paint famous people and sell the are (copy right) until I got older and then I though: What am I going to do then = lol... Jesus is a character that's not copy righted, but if you were to do Michael Jackson, you'd get sued - BUT, there use to be a law if they were dead you could sell them.... I don't know, laws change all the time.
