Description

I have captured this lovely yellow rosebud in my garden at the beginning of summer one early morning before the sun got rid of the tiny dewdrops... I also thought that the use of the flood filter is appropriate for my "news"... We had a major storm last night and apart from half my house under water from a cracked roof tile and hail blowing in through an open kitchen window, the lightning also took out my telephone and Internet. I am not sure when it will be back - it might be on when I get back home later today or it might take a week - this is Africa and anything is possible! :-) Please therefore forgive if I am tardy in commenting or not commenting at all... That is the only reason! Stay well all! Hugs, Carin xx

WOW. What an image...and what news! Hopefully everything gets back to normal soon, and with flood damage...ugh...hopefully things are easily cleaned and repaired. Hail in South Africa? That's something I haven't thought of...something about hail in a land with giraffes is just kinda...weird! As for this image, it's gorgeous! I love the bright yellow and the spots of dew clinging to the lip of each petal. This is wonderful work!

if only I could grow such beauties but the heat here makes short work of any rose flowers that dare show their heads. Lovely work and good luck getting everything fixed

Beautiful macro Carin, awesome color and use of the flood filter. Don't worry about the comments - the important part is that you are not hurt and safe. Dana
