Description

"The Great Mosque of Paris, located in the 5th arrondissement, is the largest Mosque in France. It was founded after World War I as a sign of France's gratefulness to the Muslim tirailleurs from the colonies who had fought against Germany".

Oh, this is beautiful! What a beautiful tribute. It really, really reminds me of the privilege I had to visit the Alhambra Palace in Spain that the Moors built. It is simply breathtaking. Thanks for sharing this with us!

Graceful and peaceful. Beautiful image. I have seen muslim tombstones of soldiers who died fighting for France. They fought to free their land from the Turks only to find new European masters after the war.
