Description

Sissinghurst occupies an ancient site there has been a settlement here since the 12th centry. During the early middle ages a stone manor house was built, between 1560-1570 it was replaced by an elizabethan house based on a double courtyard and was one of the most magnificent houses in the weald. The two towers are almost all that remains of the elizabethan house.

Sissinghurst is on my list of places I'd love to see. Vita Sackville-West was an intriguing character, and it would be fun to go around and see the gardens she created!

A fine POV for this beautiful remnant. Have seen this from a front view but never from this angle. Well done.
