I first discovered photography at the age of 8or 9 when i was given an old box brownie and after a couple of years I progressed to a Kodak folding camera I remember it took a size 127 film.
My father built me a dark room in the loft and I spent many hours learning about processing and printing my films,Ă‚Â both black and white and colour. when marrige and familyĂ‚Â came along time for the processing sideĂ‚Â of photography had to take a back seat. Ă‚Â After 50 years working we retired to Chard in Somerset southwest England (we think it could be the best part of the world). About 3 years ago we got into digital photographyĂ‚Â , recently my son Ian who has a site on renderosity (iambrose) talked me into joining, I am so glad he did as it's so nice to read the comments and see how otherĂ‚Â people view your pictures.Ă‚Â

Sissinghurst is on my list of places I'd love to see. Vita Sackville-West was an intriguing character, and it would be fun to go around and see the gardens she created!
