Description

This is, at the time of the Copenhagen meeting, my modest contribution to show the beauty of nature and the need to preserve the environment, reduce pollution and global warming, and save fossil resources. It was taken near Le Croisic, southern French Bittany, this summer. Best viewed full size. All comments welcome. If you enjoy this peculiar fisheye image, you will be interested by the fisheye gallery which I have done for my scenario-writer’s L. Gerard book: "Un siècle d’invention photographique" (A century of photographic invention), published (in French) by VM in 1999 and still sold. The Nikkor FC-E8 was the first fisheye specially created for digital cameras.

People concerned (everybody should do...) by the protection of the environment can also visit the image which I posted for the 2008 Earth Day:

No spare planet

Techdata: Nikon Coolpix 5000 with Nikkor FC-E8 fisheye converter in W2 position, 1/350s at f/7.8, aperture-priority automatic, ISO 100. Some sharpness enhancement in Lab mode on the grey channel in Photoshop CS3 Extended.

Beautiful photo. If that does not awaken the love for nature, then I'll eat my hat and coat as an encore.
