took this in oct. of this year. theses are some cypress knees. they are roots that for some reason grown out ot the ground. as you see it out the water have a wonderful day

Trees "breath" through their roots. They need air or they drown so cypress trees, who like to sit in water, have to sent up "air breathers" so they don't drown and die. The bigger and older the tree, the more air it needs - thus the more cypress knees pop out of the bayou. I love the sight of old cypress roots. Lovely shot.
