Description
Captured back on 2/12/09, early in the AM, within walking distance of my habitual habitat.
Top picture looking east, bottom looking west.
As a very rare departure from my normal routine, no postwork applied.
Looks much better full size.
Tally-ho, and thankx for stopping by.

It maybe be a little different, but I like it. Great capture.

Good track captures. As I live very close to some tracks, I often find myself shooting them.

East looks more interesting but aren't I supposed to advise you to go west young man? Both pictures have intrigue...I like fog and mist. Well done.

Oh, East is East, and West is West, and never the train shall meet. A slight alteration of Kipling's words. Great pictures! Love the fog!

Nicely seen and captured Harry, the fog and mist adds a wonderful mood. I like em both, but the B&W seems to add just a little more moodiness to it, if ya know what I mean?

Very cool!

I love the fog; great shots, especially for SoCal, since it looks like it disappears into the nothingness, when really there tons of development out there!

(the site crashed twice, sorry about the extra ebots!) After so many long absences, I've come here these last 2 days to wish everyone a wonderful new year & express my appreciation for what all of you give me here. I'll be back for more of your work soon, but let me wish you a wonderful 2010, right on the heels of your birthday! I chose this because I fell in love with the quality of the light & thickening fog, with the fact that you captured train tracks (a theme I don't normally see in your gallery!), how the top image is in color but rendered nearly b&w by the light & how iut has wonderful ghost images in the background; and by the bleached receding hues of the bottom tracks as they are dissolved in the light of a distant foggy dawn. A soft & misty vision, silken in atmosphere and with your usual montage of images that are similar but very different. (It's their similarity that makes the differences play off of each other---solid sequencing once again.) A wonderful New Year to you Harry, and thanks for stopping in my gallery those times when I wasn't in anyone's gallery myself. I've never taken that for granted, not once. I hope to be more present in 2010. A healthy joyous year your way, in great health & inspiration. And this image? Another fav.
