Description

Ok. This is the first posting of a new series, there were several transition images before I got here, but it crystallized with this one. First printing, digital onto Rives de Lin coated with an ink receptor, then over painted somewhat, then coated with acrylic gloss medium; 2nd layer onto a kozo based handmade paper first coated on both sides with acrylic gloss medium, then one side printed second layer of images; third layer [kozo paper] prepared as was the second then printed. All layers then fused together with a tacking iron @ about 200-250f. Final coating of UV screening acrylic gloss topcoat [Golden Paints]. The 3rd layer was torn down before fusing with the heat. And between layers are random coffee grains and dried flower petals; just because.... The Rives de Lin is about 270 gm/square meter, the kozo is 30 gm/ sq meter - so the kozo turns translucent after coatings with acrylic, while the heavier Rives provides firm base. Image is 22" x 18" cheers, tim

Hello:-)Tim! Here it is!! And i think that i can see your process (with some breaks, of course) but i can see the effect of fusion in lettering very well. It is fantastic as well the control you need to have to achieve the result that you want with the colours and the shapes, just where you want them! I imagine what come with in the next!!Congratulations, Tim.Fabulous work!I love it, and the words of Henry Miller are so true!!

Very true words and wonderful expression of them in this work! Excellent use of color and shading in the lettering and great variation of background color, design and texture. I'm interested in what will be next!

OH Yes that is indeed interesting and I love this result. The drawong in the center is looking marvellous together with the words, which are so true. A super artwork.
