Description

This started as an experiment in using Vue's Boolean differences to try and get a distorted, undersea view. The idea was inspired by a short story I read years ago about lobstermen from a small, New England fishing town who began to mysteriously vanish. Two of them, while hunting for a friend who had disappeared that very night, finally realize that something else was hunting them. Many thanks for all your comments. Your experiment worked beautifully. That is one scary underwater demon with some serious dental work. The lighting is fantastic and so is the atmosphere and clouds. I especially love the light fog hovering over the water, it adds to the mood and the tension.

This is a very nice concept and idea. You have really put Stonemason's monster angler fish into good use. I've been tempted to get this one and inspired by how you put yours together. A great scifi/adventure art, love it!

Looks like a movie cover for one of those fun campy b-movie about creatures from the deep! The boolean effects look neat.

It is a very mysterious scene. It seems to see the classics painting of the myth.

I think they should have taken a bigger boat ! come to think of it, probably also a few dozen escort frigates ! Neat concept, but I find in my own experience that Vue doesn't do underwater scenes very well, maybe some sort of light gel for the underwater caustics might help ? Well done & ~Cheers~
