Description

Hello and I hope you are all well. Last night a Blizzard decided to take aim at us. Yes we name winter storms like they name hurricanes. This is our first winter storm this season, and it was a biggen. They named her Allison. At about 3 pm on the 8th, as she was coming they canceled the winter storm warnings and issued a blizzard warning for Allison. By 6 am this morning we had 9.5 inches here. It still has not stopped snowing. I don't know what we are up to now. It is the really heavy wet stuff on the bottom and the light powdery stuff on the top. We are also having 50 MPH winds to top it off. Ok the guys are out shoveling again. Dave let's me help but only a little, so I am going to go make them something warm. Much peace and love, Cheri

Oh man, no fair! Everyone seems to be getting snow, and here in SE Michigan all we've got is rain!!! I like snow, I figure if it's gonna be cold there might as well be snow so we can enjoy it! I love the series of shots in this, it's fascinating how the snow buildup on the ground combined with the thickened clouds makes the later shots actually look brighter. Nice series!

Here in Virginia where we live, most storms swing northward before we are hit. We did have snow last weekend and it came down heavy but melted quickly.

I'm commenting a few days after you posted this picture AND WE in the UK are getting thumped by a snow storm of three days long! We don't get that sort of thing that often.... Outside now its 6-8 inches thick and growing quickly and its day ONE! Mmmm! Yeah..... Great picture... I may have one to join it! lol Take care! Rob.

Beautiful snow scenes you captured here. I do hope that it has all gone by now, and that you are getting warmer temps.
