Description

One of my favorite artists and influences back in my painting days is Wayne Thiebaud. He's most famous for his iconic paintings of pies and cakes, but I really like his cityscapes. He paints them with a very flat perspective that makes them almost abstract. I tried getting that flat perspective in Bryce, but couldn't quite achieve it, but I still like it. On the technical side, if the foreground scene is about four blocks deep, then the camera is equal to being about eight blocks away. With a field of vision at 6.2 degrees, that's probably like looking through a 500mm telephoto camera lens. The buildings were all in greys and browns, so all the colors were done in Photoshop and several were cloned and a lot of other little additions and subtractions painted in.
