Description
For the first time this year, I've started receiving visits by "Slate-colored Juncos". This is a male. Juncos are small, similar in size to the local sparrows. I've identified them via my National Geographic, "Field Guide to the Birds of North America".
This type of Junco spends spring and summer in Canada but winters further south in the USA.
Note: Have done a slight redo on this photo after the first 15 comments by using the dodge tool to bring his black eye up to where it now is visible.
