The Blue bird has just whispered the news to the mouse that someone's birthday is coming up. the mouse is so excited to hear this news.

to let you know, I've discovered why I was not getting my reflections, it seems that I need to do the renders with raytrace and not deep shadow map... of course then I'd have to wait almost forever to complete a render on this machine - so any reflection work is going to wait until I get my new machine in hopefully no more than 28 days.
Oh and this image was rendered with raytracing instead of deep shadow mapping - took somewhere about 7 hours or so. I may redo this and use deep shadow mapping and time it then (any bets that it will take less time?)

wonderful picture!! the bird is fantastic!!! Raytracing is better but very, very longer (my record 23 hours!)!! I'm very patient!

Great job on posing these critters in this scene. It will take 1/4 to 1/2 the time. Ray tracing is best run overnight or when you are away at work. You also have to spend more time setting up a blur diameter and cutting back the shadow depth as the defaults will always give sharp edges and deep shadows that are unnatural in almost all light settings. I'd give you the details but I think DAZ has different settings than poser. But anyways, double or quad your blur radius and cut your shadow depth to about 65% to get started. Hope this helps.
