Description
Onix was the most wonderful dog that ever existed. He was one half Pitbull, one quarter Bull Dog and one quarter Rottweiler. He was extremely gentle and loved children. My autistic daughter could do anything to him and he never moved, never growled, never bit her. He was a protector of children. He was never really fond of adults though and was always wary of them. He loved his family very much and his best friend, Cheetah the cat.
He started looking pallid on Hallowe'en and just went down from there. In 2 days, his blood count went down from 26 to 17... he had cancer. He never complained, never cried out in pain... he always smiled. Even at the end, he smiled, because he knew he was very much loved and even though he knew it was time to go, his tail still wagged.
He passed between 11:30 and noon today. We miss him very much, but we know he will always be watching us and he will always be in our hearts.

He will be ever there, in your heart and he will waiting in heaven. My oldest dog is now 16 years old (husky9 you can see him on my avatar and I have fear for his last day here on earth. I think of you and your daughter. Regards Pünktchen

Onix looks beautiful,loved and well cared for. I am so sorry for your loss... I almost lost my dog this week and know well how much they are family. My heart really goes out to you. I know from experience how hard it is to lose a beloved dog or cat. Sounds like you have some really good memories of him. Cherish them. Sometimes, I think it is almost harder to lose a good, loving pet than even people because they love you unconditionally.

This is so sad, my eyes are filled with tears. Losing a member of the family is the most difficult thing. Kier_00 said it so well .. it is perhaps harder to lose a dog then a human. The dog loves unconditionally once he/she has decided to trust the people in his/her life. Onix will always be there, in your heart for sure. I still dream of, feel, and see my Gracie Anne .. so I don't think they ever leave us. Onix was a handsome dog, and from the sound of it, he had a good life with you. God speed, Onix.
