I know, I'm a bit obsessed with this pier. It's just that no matter where you look,, which angle, under or over, it's just got SOMETHING. So, once again, here it is.
On the road again tomorrow, heading for San Francisco. I'll be there a week or so, working for a friend. Then, if the weather doesn't get too crazy, the day after Christmas, I'm heading to snow country, to see my son. Truckee, California, Donner Lake, and it will be very different---not the warm, sunny days I spent there in August. This time, if it hits 20, I'll consider myself lucky. Gonna try my luck at snowshoeing.

Nice shot. I used to play under the pier when I was a kid... even though Mom said not to. I can almost smell that ocean under the pier smell :)

Holy cow! Bad enough you are going to be in The Bay Area with these cold winter storms blowing in but are you serious??? Truckee? The coldest place in the USA? Why not just get naked, dip yourself in water and take a seat in a walk-in freezer for the night. It might be warmer. As beautiful as it is, I wouldn't go there except in August when its as warm as it can possibly get. LOL

Those legs remind me of storks, pelicans, flamingos and herons among many others. Cool shot...I have grown to like "your pier" too. Enjoy your travels and drive safely!!!

The daddy longlegs of piers! This is a wonderful shot and you always get the best angles. Oh, I'm sure there are no real bad angles, but you seem to get the choicest ones all of the time. This is fantastic. I love the light, that blue is so calming and cool without being chilly! I love this.
