Description

The red-crowned crane is the symbol for Longevity, luck and fidelity in East Asia. I think it is the most beautiful of all cranes, it's also very rare. According the the International Crane Foundation, there are only about 1,200 of these in the wild. Most of the population live in China with only about 900 birds living on Hokkaido in Northern Japan. These birds were created by Ken Gilliland as part of his Songbird Remix Shorebirds Volume 1 at Daz3d. I hope you like it. Thank you for the comments on my last picture "The Mooring".
