"No limit may be set to art, neither is there any craftsman that is fully master of his craft" Instruction of Ptahhotep Egyptian God of crafts.
I was born and raised in New Zealand, have British, Irish, and Chilean ancestry, bit of a mix I think lol. I’ve been doing digital art since 1998, in the early days of digital art. The first program I got hold of was Bryce 2, back then the most amazing program I had ever used for artwork . I’ve been an artist since I was a little kid painting drawing, sculpting anything really, but since the most earliest times I can remember I’ve always been into sci-fi and ancient cultures with lots of fascinations with tech thrown in as well. So when I got into using computers I was really excited because finally with programs like Bryce, Poser and Photoshop I was able to make those worlds I imagined come alive like I have never been able to do before. Now my most of my artwork is digital and with Bryce, Poser and Photoshop I am able to bring worlds like Atlantis and other strange Alien or ancient worlds to life. As well as being a visual artist I have been a bone carver since I was a teenager, carving both traditional New Zealand Maori and contemporary jewelry. Living now in Adelaide South Australia with my gorgeous wife and two beautiful step children

Damn impressive job. So, is this the set for Blade Runner II??? :) It does have that quality, like a movie needs to take place here (hint hint.) Fabulous stuff.

Yes nice - buts its been done a 1000 times before - create not emulate.

The shapes of the buildings in the foreground remind me of adobe buildings. Try giving it a sandy texture for a desert city feel. We are all inspired by other images and the first steps to creation lie in emulation.

I believe the saying goes "Mediocre artists copy, great artists steal."-P.Picaso. Anyway, terrains are great fillers, but a few more unique bldgs in the mix and some lit roadways would enhance this scene. Looks like it would be pretty cool animated.

Aye, it's all about progression. We can't always create EVERY model from scratch, but I agree with Bebe. At least a few would help, but one thing for me, is that when I see stock Bryce textures, on anything, I just cringe. The DTE is so easy to use, don't be afraid of it! But keep it coming, it's still a good piece, Osiris!

Considering the amount of work that has obviously gone into the composition of this image, I would say very well done, excellent. I really hate it when other comments say things like...oh, this has been done before, well, so has a bowl of fruit, but every damn art class I've ever seen still does one ;) and its still YOUR work! And as to creating your own textures, yes, you should, but its not that easy to learn, not straight off, you have to see plenty of examples before you understand exactly what you want, exactly how to change the scale and colour to suit your model....its a great image so keep posting!!!

I agree with Kate. Anyone making derogatory comments should go away and have a long hard think before saying anything. If you haven't got anything helpful to say, then don't. Anyway, great pic, and I like the haze around the buildings in the background

Great picture, as for mixing it up, ever try using 3 or more terrains in the same space? Each with a different pattern so the buildings are spaced apart and the textures are all different. just a thought, keep up the excellent work!!
