Description

I found this old rusted and rejected trellis in a corner of a friend's garden. It just spoke to me... possibly because it resembles a little how I feel at the moment! Some of you might have noticed that I haven't been around the last few days... Well, that is because I had no Internet connection at home since Saturday evening - almost three full days! My e-bots total sixty something and I've decided to not even try to catch up. My sincere apologies for neglecting my friends but I promise you - it wasn't out of choice! What did we do without the Net??? LOL... Thank you for your wonderful support in comments and favs on my last upload! We have a public holiday in South Africa tomorrow... So a rest day!! Yay...!!! Stay well! Hugs, Carin xx

The good thing about this community is your friends understand...just start afresh and know we're glad you're back:) The trellis on the other hand...probably does have a problem.

I hope you have a good day, I agree with Bill. Lick of paint & the trellis will be fine, good pic.

Don't even think about the ebots! I can't begin to imagine how you can possibly compare yourself to a bit of rusty metal...

Nooit verwerp, dierbaar! Jy weet ek sal altyd van jou hou. :D :X:X :P I also love the rusty metal against the textured concrete, and the beautiful plants that only grow indoors here!

Sorry to read about your down time, Carin! I was wondering what happened to you and your ever reliable comments (especially on my gallery) and postings. Being without the Internet is akin to being in purgatory. Cool capture of the heavily oxidized and down-and-out bit of trellis, along with the somber background.

Yes it is true, hard drugs have been replaced by 1's and 0's. Being without, even for a few hours, brings on painful withdrawal. Stay strong Carin these things always pass. And with a little sandpaper and paint that trellis could be good as new.

Did you bring this home to YOUR garden?? It's beautiful and just the kind of thing I'm always looking for. Glad you are reconnected; I get really cranky when that happens to me!!

The trellis may be old and worn but it is still filled with character and charm. Nothing ever ceases to be useless it merely changes form and becomes creative in another venue like your shot. Excellent capture!

This is an interesting and moody capture. When I'm without internet, I notice my photo-backlog grows! I love the colors in this, the shape of the abandoned trellis and the overall mood. The composition is spot on as well. I like this a lot!

Ah technology, it's wonderful when it works but unlike the trellis the internet is no where near as nice when things get rusty and broken. It's kind of scary thinking how dependent on technology our race is becoming. i wonder what would happen to most of us if it all just stopped one day.
