My good Doctor Doarte... fellicitations and greeting of the seasons... may your world continue to be a shining light of civilization, world wide.... My Intended, Lady Constance Charming-Dahl, remarked earlier throughout our experimentary examinations into creating a new device for the aetheric collection of images... that such a device, when perfected, would make the chronicles of our adventures more exciting and readable to the general public... so, here before you is the first successful test of our "Aetheric-Electro, PleniktaFotogrammic Device....".. it captures a likeness (very lifelike as you will see) of the subject and then transposes the likeness onto a thin wafer of common silica (uncommonly attached to other devices for power and tranluscency) and then we may send this image through the Aether to whomever we desire... Lady Constance was my first choice in models, though for one so gifted in the adventuresome trades as we are... did display a modicum of shyness towards having her image, thus co-opted. Once I had reasoned with her and supplied her with a tumbler of her favourite imbibetion, Warre's Warrior Port, did she transcend to pose for me... as you are the object of much joy and edification for My Lady, we felt, in the spirit of the season, that you should be the first to receive the Aetheric transposition of this image.... and don't let her youthful countenance bewit you... she has the skills and daring of the greatest explorers this world has every know... that being myself... It is with this thought that I close this missive, as we are readying ourselves to do a little caroling about the town, singing songs of joy, passing out candy canes to the children, stopping mad scientists and rabid Edisonists from taking over the world...
