the Christmas market in the Old Town Square, in Prague. i was there last week and it was wonderful..great atmosphere. I love lights in the dark skies. For me it's really magical. I shot this just before all was revealed. more to come this week.....

Praha! Překrásný Tato is má oblíbenec bydliště. Ono má domov! That is my pitiful attempt at giving you a comment in Czech! I hope I said "Prague. This is beautiful. It's my home." Instead, I'm afraid I might have said something a bit...well...weird, like "Doorway! There are large chinchillas in my bookshelf beside her house." Well, at any rate, I lived in Prague for nearly two years and I plan to return there to live for substantially more than two years. It's an amazing city full of incredibly loopy and eccentric people, bored and disinterested policemen, and well...friends of mine, which makes it perfect. What a place! I've spent so much time here, at Stométske Naméste. That cathedral "Our Lady Before Tyn" is the only church in the world I've ever kissed! Oh thank you for this memory, and especially of capturing it near Christmas. The only thing that rivals Christmas in Prague is Easter in Prague (those strange Easter Trees pop up everywhere.) And if you were particularly lucky, you might actually have gotten rude waiter service from my friend Stepan. He works at the cafe just to the right in this picture, the place with those white Christmas lights. He's a tall, gawky blond guy who taught himself English by watching English language television. Oh, I love this picture!
