Description

I'm testing out different lights on Sonia to see how they render with her. So, far.. I like the results. I was wondering if anyone knows how to create natural looking makeup.. preferably eyeshadow and lipstick. I can't figure it out for the life of day. Any help would be appreciated.. tutorial or anything. Preferably no merchant resources. I have .psd files ready if anyone wants to give a hand at it. I'd appreciate the help. I thank everyone for commenting on my last work. ZOOM IN!! NO POST WORK!!

Beautifully natural looking portrait Jonathan :) Might be the light, but the eyes look a little dead though.

Overall the texturing is awesome, but Star4mation is right, I think her eye surface needs some reflection and specular adjusting. (I always have to spend forever on that) I loathe the thought of trying to do makeup, gadzooks if I was a girl I'd likely use a butterknife or something.

I like the skin tone.....I would try doing the makeup layer w/color,blurred (gaussian), and try it out as an overlay ,then reduce the fill and/or opacity, (30% or so ). Good luck.

A most realistic looking portrait! Very professional! I love her skin tone as well! I haven't done much work with makeup but I think the suggestion to apply the colors lightly on a separate layer and reduce the opacity is a good idea. That way you can always fiddle with it till it looks right rather than having it become part of your base image! Hope you figure it out! Best wishes!

She looks very lovely. Wonderful sheen to her skin. It almost glistens. Beautiful soft lips too - so natural. I think Radar rad-dude has a good suggestion about the makeup. I'm sure you'll be able to do something really lovely for this character.
