This is Corey at work with his camera. I snagged this on that Saturday the ninja photographers took over the Chicago lake front. I am not sure if he knew I got him.
Corey,
I raise my green tea to you and toast:
May good things always be abundant in your life.
May you have something to laugh about everyday.
May you have good health for 1000 years. ( ok maybe that's a bit much)
and may you always find something to point your camera at.

Well.......you gotta admit, she is really good at being sneaky. Usually for me, if I'm in a shot of Cheri's where she's captured my backside, it's a good thing!! Because she got my good side! In this photo, we have Corey doing mostly what Corey does best, grabbing a shot of something either most people would simply overlook and miss entirely, or just capturing it so totally different from the way most of us would. Happy Anniversary of your birthday my friend, I'm glad to have met you in person, that was the best and most memorable day of my summer. I raise a Killian's to you this night. It wasn't your best year, so may the next be better, and all those that follow be better than the one previous. I hope this next year of your life brings you so much, that you'll need to hire someone just to help you enjoy it all!

Yes, Happy Birthday to your friend, Cheri! I'm glad you identified Corey as a male or I would have thought otherwise, considering the hair, figure and all. Phenomenal ninja shot of him doing his photography thing, and love that huge, shiny bowling ball at his right elbow. And, is that a football stadium in the background?

I was talking to Corey on the phone when I saw this. Naturally I told him about it. We're getting together tomorrow since the weather tonight was so crappy and wet and grotty and downright foul! We've been talking off and on today and we'll be hanging out tomorrow and Sunday! This is a great shot of him. And it's great that Marilyn is in there too! Perfectly seen. Great work! And is it my imagination, or does Soldier Field look like a UFO just landed on top of a fake Greek temple?

Hey, Marilyn's in there too! What a day that was. Maybe a bit of a bad hair day for me, but fun anyway. Sometimes my hair just doesn't sit still and act polite. Great shot. Very sneaky. I had no idea you were even taking it. Thank you! The Ninjas should get together for the next birthday coming up.

Gee, Cheri...I missed a bunch around Christmas. This is a fine dedi to another of the Chicago travelling gang. Glad you all got together and enjoyed your day(s) so much.

I'm sorry I missed this day, I'll have to do something for Corey even if it's late. It's a fine picture, both of him and just as a picture. It gets Corey immersed in the camera; in that signature shirt/sweatshirt around his waste, and his hair flying in that windy days' wind. And of course taking a picture, which he did lots of (and which he does so well!). But you also have that black orb, which you've captured beautifully, with the sun on it radiating atop, and corey's reflection as another picture in a picture. And the stadium--I assume Soldier's Field--in a kind of dissolving saturated white light. It's a very fine shot, I really like it Cheri; and a fine happy birthday to Corey, who I hope has many, many more in fine health & inspiration. You've framed it well too, not just the "black" pun, but in that the black actually sets off the picture's light very well. Wonderful shot, wonderful dedication for a really fine person & artist.
