Sunsets at Massaciuccoli
Oasis LIPU Massaciuccoli
In agreement with the MSRM Regional Park Authority Lipu (Italian Bird Protection League) operates, since 1985, the Nature Reserve of Chiarone an area of 60 hectares of marsh, located near the foothills of Massarosa, which is accessed from the country Massaciuccoli, ancient town of Roman origin which gives its name to the lake. You can see both how the populations of glacial relicts
Sfagnum sp.pl., particular type of moss which forms the soft carpet hosting the insectivorous Drosera rotundifolia and other rare entities, and wrecks of warm, humid climates such as the large fern Osmunda regalis.
Very rich and diverse bird and wildlife that can be observed by observers in different seasons. The lake is an excellent site for many species for breeding, wintering or migration stopover on the way and looks like an exciting gym birdwatching with over 260 species of birds reported.
Good day and good weekend
