Lots of possible meanings. The colors and wispiness of the piece sets it apart. Bet you had fun doing it too.

Atractive play of shapes, colours and light. Strong contrasts in your image. I love the simbolism... it speaks to me about the four elements, with an add: the time.

nikolay, thank you so much for your comments of late; I've been gone from so many galleries, not the least being yours; I've felt guilty getting so much attention when I've barely said hello in return; and I want you to know how much I appreciate your wishes & comments in the last number of weeks, and your encouragement on my new photography. I truly hope to return to your world more after the first of the year...No matter how much I got "used" to your work, you always surprise me because you make me feel your work afresh. It's always new, always. This week I've had the hard task of choosing one image per gallery (because of time), and with all your photographs, I've chosen this 2D because I know you love 2D work and because it struck me the day it went up. Like your photographs, it has minimal elements, 3 pronounced 'areas' with a fish on top of it all; and like your photographs, it has great richness as well. The rich red ground is a body of thick light; the white vertical, kind of a tree made of light, or, better, a monument. The white is beautifully rendered with layered whites & veils. And your solid black "sky" is just right for the backdrop. Then, that fish is so playful for its simple lines & the little trail of lights that sit in front of it. You always know what to "add" and what the added thing should be made of: This is made of simple lines & light, and it's just right to my eye. I know you don't like your work as much as your fans do, and that's ok lol: I struggle with everything I do. But you have a way of isolating 3 or 4 things out of a universe; and making them come to us in great clarity; and then they interact as well as remain in worlds of their own. Not easy to capture both, Nikolay. And when you use strong hues, you use them like you've been using them all your life. This is a minimalist piece with real richness; and I second Ana's vision, and repeat Tim's: Another great abstraction. You're terrific at what you do, there's just no other way to say it. And as I now enter the world of photography, I can see how fine you are from an even more intimate perspective. (Btw, I've got appr 2 billion awful photos: You need blurs? I got blurs! You could wallpaper a high rise with my blurs...) A wonderful new year to you and all you love, and lots of light throughout your new year.
