Description

Bill, bmac62, has treated us to many great images of the birds that frequent his feeder - I thought he'd enjoy this collection of winged critters from the San Diego Wild Animal Park. The guy in the center is an adolescent American Bald Eagle - at maturity his cap will be snow white. Clockwise, from the top left we have a ground hornbill, a California Condor, a western burrowing owl, and a guy whose name I forgot to note - but who posed so nicely for me, he deserves to be in the image. Enjoy.

Well thank you for thinking about my birds and taking me with you to the San Diego Zoo. Like the collage very much...lots of beaks in the same place:-) No snow or ice here for the last couple of days so my fine feathered friends have been scarce again. They'll be back.

Have you noticed that hornbills have the most extravagant headwear and the most "miffed" expressions? I love those critters...I got to see one up close and personal...even counted his eyelashes before he did the typical bird thing and pooped. This is a wonderful collage and I cannot decide which bird I like the best. Wonderful work.
