Description

The new feature Indirect Lightning in Poser 8 is still a a kind of miracle for me ;) So I decided to set up a test scene to compare the results. Both images with the same lightning and render setting; the one on the left without IDL and the one on the right with IDL in standard settings. Please zoom in for more details. Rendering time without IDL: less than 1 minute Rendering time with IDL: Precalculating indirect lightning: about 50 minutes Rendering time: about 20 minutes ;) I am still not sure if I will use this new feature very often...

Hoooooooooo ........... a place where it makes good things in life my Beautiful. I like the ambient light and the floor as frozen. Cheer still and still of all your savours. I believe well that the merit belongs to you ((5++)) Hoooooooooo...........Une place où il fait bon vivre ma Belle . J'aime bien la lumière ambiante et le plancher comme glacé . Bravo encore et encore de toutes tes saveurs . Je crois bien que le mérite t'appartient ((5++))

I like the furniture on the non-IDL and the glass on the IDL. I think the paint and the brick on the non- worked better. I like the floor and glass on the IDL. Hummmmm.....I use P6 still. I don't know about P8 settings, I don't know P6 settings eather. haha Great rendering. It is good to see people testing it out.

Excelente teste, é um recurso interessante, que por enquanto optei por usar hibrido. Com IBL soa mais natural, mas cada imagem é unica. Perfeita demonstração minha amiga, aplausos (5) Excellent test, is a nice feature, which for the moment I chose to use hybrids. With IBL sounds more natural, but each image is unique. Perfect show my friend, cheers (5)

Das sieht schon unglaublich realistisch aus - stark - Poser ist leider ein Buch mit 7 Siegeln deswegen kann ich es nicht so gut beurteilen

Hmmm....while the IDL image looks more photographic it seems the non IDL image looks less flat. Getting some snap out of photographs is quite tricky, I suspect the same with IDL.

So realistic, one could sit in the chairs! I really like both: one is bright and sharp, the other is softer, without losing details.
