Description
You know the saying, all work and no play, well it's true for starship Engineer's as well, but when your life depends on getting the job done, what's one to do?
Do the job and hope that eventually you get some time to play.
For Tarrie this finally happens. After delevering some fright to a very remote back water moon of a world, the Emperer Class Tramp Tarrie is Engineering on stumbled across a lifepod drifting in space as they are heading out to their jump point. Pulling it aboard they find, despite most of it's systems being dead, one surviver in statis. The pod on board hardcopy ID lists it has belonging to an Liner that went missing some years back. With no pressing business, the crew decided they could take a few hours and try back tracking the pod's course.
They find the wreakage of the Liner, or at least part of it. Double checking the salavge laws in the legal database in their ship's computer, they decide to salvage what they can. Even if it is not much, it still be that much more to add to what they will be getting for the little bit of cargo in their holds. They manage to dig out a few cargo containers, some engineering components and to top off their hold, some of the still intact fuel modules, and one not so intact module, which made the others wonder why.
"Why to fill the open space we still have in the back hold."
Securing everything in place, and finishing up a few other repairs in process, Tarrie then puts on hold a few projects she feels it is safe to wait on and locks herself in the rear hold. After a few hours, she exits, gather up a few items and returns, locking herself once more in the hold. What is she doing in there?
