That sweet face that I've been wanting to use in one of my portraits, she waited for me this long and I won't let this rare chance to pass by without including her in my gallery. This beautiful, innocent face created by a great friend, FABIANA. Dear Fabi, this is for you and I hope that there will be more blessings to come your way today and always. Have you seen the Polar Express movie? My memory takes me to the time when I was about 7 or 8 years old. It was Christmas eve, I can't sleep at night thinking if I will tip toe out of bed and hide behind the door, maybe, just maybe I can see Santa put all our gifts under the tree. Just so I did. The next thing I know, my mom was standing next to me and asked me what was I doing in the dark and why in the first place I wasn't in bed. Of course, I won't tell her why, so I went back to bed and still tossing and turning, I waited for the big guy in red. It was quiet. Each fleeting second went by, then hours went swiftly... I was in La-la land. It was until the next morning that I saw all the presents under the tree and my stocking filled with toys and surprises. Oh no, I missed him! I was about 9 years old when my elder brother ruined the magic for me and told me it was just mom and dad the whole time. Well, that is Christmas, through the eyes of a child. A Wonderful Christmas, indeed! :-D This is a very heartfelt and beautiful vision, Jenny. Here you have portrayed the true spirit of the season. Worth recalling are the birthday boy's words that only they who receive the kingdom as a little child, shall enter therein. This is not to be childlike .. but to perceive with the eyes of a child. Jenny you have done an outstanding work of capturing the magic of Christmas through a young girls vision. Somehow you have captured the spirit that this child is dreaming of Christmas but she will be happy with whatever the outcome is. Here we see a being who is already beyond the material and into the essence and grace of the season.
