Description

Etiquette demands that as a lady, no matter how savage, the dragon must force herself into a pair of shoes before descending on the town to burn and cause general mayhem... Private joke with the bestest beastliest dragon I know. For Angel's hilarious take(s) on the subject, see A trip to town and Village Pillage *Pt 2* Millennium Dragon from DAZ, wonderful sky from the Spectral Nights collection, a freebie by 00AngelicDevil00. Vue 8 Infinite, signature in Photoshop CS3. Thanks for looking and commenting. Craig thumb_1991572.jpg

Roflmao! Its a curse. A 'female' thing. I must have shoes, even if I don't like wearing them. Then again, at least they're not cats... Lol! Thanks, Craig. Glad you finally got some sleep. (snort) ;)

I don't have the shoe thing myself, but I understand the need to look "fierce" when setting out on some major undertaking. What's more fierce than a kickin' pair of heels. I love this piece!

you know Craig, I don't know a thing about 3D rendering, I just know it takes forever and involves much compiling & constructing in addition to art. I had a hard time with Adobe Illustrator, so I can imagine what pieces like these are like...This is a wholly organic & modulated work, and feels like one of yours because it's got a sly & fine sense of humor, your dragon is struggling but she's subtle, a good comic actress (not too broad, not going for the 'big laughs' but--how do you say it--staying in character, lol). And it's got your consummate sense of atmosphere & completeness as well. She seems really well done, I love how her wings dominate the upper portion, they loom over her. And she's all crouched and frustrated (and you lit up the land right under her for emphasis). But your background is big & sweeping, with that big beautifully lit sky. I've seen things like that in your other work, and it's good painting--ie, very fine modulations, melding of blues & grays, etc. Over all, it's a big sweeping piece for something tongue-in-cheek, and the tongue-in-cheek works without a hitch. It's a pleasure to be back here again! Hope your summer is going well & you had a fine holiday season. And hope your 2010 will be splendid for you & those you love. (Hey, it's minus 15C here half the days...there's no excuse for this weather. Frankly I'm writing a letter...)
