I am sending out this Angel to whomever lost someone dear to them and miss them so much, especially at this time of Year!!
Here is alitte something that I would like to share with you ..
It is getting closer to Christmas and being Mom's favorite time of year- I find myself thinking of the times when she used to go all out for the Holidays! There wasn't a room that didn't have garland and lights...and you just fealt like there was something special in that time of year there...And there was always trays and tiny bowls full of Christmas treats and candy..( And even though she was diabetic, she was caught many a time sneaking one!) - she would say "Awww go way with ya!" hahaha - well not in that exact way-lol
It was a time that she would reminisce about Christmas's past and we all having heard them before - but seemed to still make usd laugh everytime she told us...About how Santa had knocked over our fireplace( Don't worry it wasn't one of the real ones- lol) It took me many years to realise and then find out- that Santa had to many egg nogs on his way to our place- he even fell in the drain! lol
Both Mom and Dad had set in each of their kids the love and joy of this time of year, that was their gift to us and ours to pass along to our children..
I remember when I was small -Oh how much I loved Santa, Mom and Dad got me a stuffed Santa with a plastic face -which I chearished!- Dad one day took him and painted his face with glow in the dark paint, So I could see his face in the dark ) - but didn't seem to work to good cause it at first scared the death outta me..After I got used to my freaky Santa- he went everywhere with me-It didn't matter if it was - 25 outside or +25...Santa was always being lugged behind me-...I wonder whatever happened to that poor thing! lol
And there was this other time that they put this Large plastic Light up Santa on the roof- and Dad ( having a few holiday spirits ) didn't tie him to the chimney to good - that night we had one heck of a snowstorm and all I could hear was Santa being smashed against the roof- Then Dad said something that he shouldn't have ever said....he paid for it though- he said...." Maybe Santa won't be able to make it this year"....
I let a screech out and never stopped crying untill he had to get dressed and go and take him down and bring him in for me!!! haha
Once I told them I didn't in Santa anymore...Mom said it just wasn't the same..And that day -Dad told me one thing that will always be with me- he said- "Anne, as long as there are ppl on Earth, there will Always be a Santa Claus"!
With every Christmas song and every twinkle of the lights- I think of them...It is going to be a very hard Christmas this year for us, not only us are missing them and finding it hard- but the grand children as well....We Miss you Mom with ever fibre of our being.....We will make sure that those stories are told for many Christmas's to come...
You will always as long as I am alive...be the Angel ontop of my Christmas Tree!!

I am so touched by this anne I know its not easy because Ive been there but time is a great healer it takes years but the stings always there but hurts less each year its good to treasure these fond memories!!! have a happy and memorable xmas and may you have an extra creative new year your so damned good as an artist! and and there is a great void when your not her take care and don't stay away so long!!!LOL!!!!

This is so pretty! Your story is beautiful, and I can so much relate to your missing your Mom so much, and at this time of year too. My Moms favorite holiday was Christmas also, every room decorated with red and white, and green, mostly red, she LOVED red for Christmas. I have so many AWESOME memories of my parents.
