you notice me
sitting near your perch
yet you dont fly away
like the rest
Tilt your head
as if you are curious

yet you cant be
can you?
Im just a bump on a log
a figment of your imagination
I dont really belong here
yet I dont really belong there either
I bring you nothing
you dont find beauty in me
for how can I compare
to the world you see everyday
flying upon the wind
I see your simpleness
just a gull
a plain old white bird
You see my simplicity
just a girl
a plain old white human
Yet,
we have something in common
now dont we?

watching the sun set in the distance
