you come across on the streets of New Orleans bands playing on the street. most of them good too. Here is a snapshot of the action. hahahha some one ask me why I post snapshots and not fotos. I not upset at all but just wonder what make a image a foto or a snapshot??? Is a foto something you line up and ask people to pose under lightings you set up and have all types of stuff around to take a shot of the subject?? is a snapshot a slice of life that is the real thing and you try to get the lighting as your eyes sees what going on around you and you had not ask people to do this or that and no $10,000 of lighting you set up?
I upload images because I like them and think others may like them too.

Excellent, I love it. I was at SigGraph 2009 in New Orleans around 3 months ago and they had these 3 guys dressed up in their suits there walking around singing away. It was so much fun. That is what is wonderful about New Orleans, They sure have talented people there. Excellent Photo.

Kool kapture of the neat trombone, complete with a spiderweb, Jock! A snapshot is just another name for a photograph, especially in this era of superfast cameras. In the old days, a photograph was considered something that was taken by a camera on a tripod, of stationery objects, like people posing, or a building.

well, to me a snapshot refers to the old brownie cameras of yesteryear and some cheap digital.if you want to express yourself with only a partial view then it is cool. several artists here does the same thing with automobiles.here you have expressed the moment

I think of a snapshot as quick shots taken without forethought at a child's birthday party or of a family uncomfortably posed at a picnic or the beach. Oh, well, I can see that we'd all have vastly different opinions...none of which matter. To me this is certainly an artistic photo...you've caught the street musician and that wonderful New Orleans trombone complete with a great reflection. I like it my friend...no matter what we call it. Well done.
