Description

Just (if we can say "just") an appaling space catastrophe. Rendered in Bryce4, color correction and postproduction in Photoshop. The "space Beholder" mesh is made in Groboto then imported in Bryce, all the other meshes are mine. The original file is 2025x3636 pixels. THE ARTWORK IS BETTER IN FULL SIZE! Looks like a computer generated explosion. To regular for a real world explosion. Explosions are ALWAYS a booger to do and worse to get them to look real. It's well done, but lacks that certain chaos of a real blast. Sorry if this sounds harsh, but it just doesn't look right to me. Love the formation flying away from it,though.

I like this, but to me it looks less like an exploding object than some sort of giant construct surrounding an entire star, similar to a Dyson Sphere only really close to the star. Just what I see anyways =)
