Description

this is an elaborate model made out of brass and I took the picture in an antique store at Forney Texas.shooting at 10mm and being within four feet, I think you can imagine the size as I was not able to get the complete tower .I did numerous things to it in psp I am not sure if it is the older Notre Dame Cathedral or not.our friends in France should know.the small statue of Mary is not part of the model.it was only standing next to it.by far I am not inclined to be religious, but I found this last night while searching for something to post thanks for your visit and any comments.I hope your holidays are wonderful and safe

hi richard - no this is not notre dame--notre dame has flying buttresses, many gargoyles :) this has a more british look to it too. though this is really a beautiful model...how much do they want for it? thanks for sharing--i love stuff like this...you and your lovely pups have a merry xmas!

Great bit of Gothic style in this model Richard, though as has been said not Notre Dame. The frontage looks a little like King's College Chapel, in Cambridge. Nice work on the manipulation my friend.. Merry Xmas to you and yours

Cool shot, especially considering original was taken inside the store? In any case, the statue gives good sense of scale & IMO, you did very good postwork. Too bad I'm not in the market; it'd make for an eye-catching hitching post ;)

Merry Christmas, Richard. Remarkable image, and a truly fantastic model with amazing details. I am a devotee of the Gothic age, and this is more of the style found in England. However, I am sending it to a good friend of mine who is from the UK and is a civil engineer- he might be able to ID it! Excellent work, my friend!!!!!
