Description

Ultra Fractal 5.03 + Painter 11 (varying colours whilst retaining integrity of shapes). Boxing Day: the gifts have become possessions, all revealed, and the transfer of ownership fully realised. What of the packaging? The wrapping paper, once carefully selected and perhaps revealing of relationships, is now crumpled and purpose lost. Those boxes too, they may have better survived, but possibly with lids separated, or evidence of opening still apparent. These are just a few idle thoughts on the movement from one big day to another. In this picture the colour relationships have been varied from those dominant in yesterday’s posting (Yesterday? Some of you – myself included – are caught in the same day). Each hue becomes alive as it gains from neighbourliness. Yet every tone contributes something to the whole and in that resides the magic for the artist – and for the independent viewer. Art nowadays is primarily about perception. Through it you are invited to see differently and often to ascribe new values. This perception-thing is a journey, and journeys take time and an awareness of change. We are not static beings, growth and movement are our lot. We would-be artists grow through looking, contemplating, sifting, realising. You’ll gather this post-Christmas day has settled me in a peculiar mood. But then the cold remnant of the Christmas pud isn’t something to be idly contemplated. Enjoy! Cliff.

Pretty geometrics 'n' colors! I'm not a pud-lover anyway, so it's just as well we had nice fattening stuff like tamales 'n' rice, cheese dip 'n' tortilla chips, Cajun flavored pecan halves, guacamole, and more. lol q-: Nice one Cliff! (:

I agree, Cliff- about perception and states of being. I like this play of design and color even more than the previous. Nice work!
